Richardson gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They pulled ahead with a 14-13 photo finish over the Lakeview Centennial Patriots. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Patriots, too.

Zach Breazeale was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 113 yards and two touchdowns. Dameon Crowe did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 84 receiving yards.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Richardson will welcome Plano at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Lakeview Centennial, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against McKinney at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
