Volleyball Recap: Jserra Catholic Falls Short Against Ranked Santa Margarita

JSerra Catholic faced Santa Margarita in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. JSerra Catholic lost 3-0 to Santa Margarita. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost nine in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-17, 25-13.

William Spalding paced JSerra Catholic's offense, picking up ten kills. Spalding got some help from Michael Nadruz and his 21 assists.

JSerra Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Santa Margarita, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.
