Basketball Game Preview: Shawnee Wolves vs. Southeast Spartans

The Shawnee Wolves will face off against the Southeast Spartans at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Shawnee is returning to their home court after beating Collinsville on theirs, despite the fact Collinsville has dominated at home this season. Shawnee secured a 66-60 W over Collinsville on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Southeast came up short against Carl Albert on Tuesday, falling 79-59. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 220th, while the Titans are ranked 45th).

Shawnee has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Southeast, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-5.

Shawnee beat Southeast 61-49 in their previous meeting back in January of 2017. Does Shawnee have another victory up their sleeve, or will Southeast turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
