Softball Recap: Lauderdale County Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Lauderdale County's offense. They lost 11-0 to the Madison Academy Mustangs on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost five in a row.

Lauderdale County's defeat dropped their record down to 21-18. As for Madison Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 30-5 record this season.

Lauderdale County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Madison Academy, they will be playing at home against Winfield at 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Mustangs have won 16 straight at home dating back to last season, while the Pirates won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
