Recap: Trinity at Meadow View Tempest vs. St. Michael the Archangel Warriors
If the Trinity at Meadow View Tempest were riding high off their 48-12 takedown of the King Abdullah Academy Falcons last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Trinity at Meadow View fell 38-31 to St. Michael the Archangel on Tuesday. Trinity at Meadow View was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as St. Michael the Archangel apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
St. Michael the Archangel got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Janaye Martinez out in front who dropped a double-double on ten points and 24 rebounds. Martinez is crushing the rebound category: she's posted at least ten every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Anjalia Bryant, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and six steals.
Trinity at Meadow View has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for St. Michael the Archangel, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity at Meadow View will take on Chelsea Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Michael the Archangel, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Foxcroft at 5:00 p.m. St. Michael the Archangel is coming into the match with six straight wins at home, meaning Foxcroft will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win.
