Softball Recap: Alexandria's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

There's no place like home for Alexandria, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Willmar a 2-0 shutout on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for Alexandria as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Alexandria let Maari Kvidt and Mya Herges run wild. Kvidt went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run, while Herges went 2-for-3 with one triple and one double. That's the most stolen bases Kvidt has posted since back in April. Gretta Kelly was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.
