Baseball Recap: Cross Plains Buffaloes vs. Eula Pirates
Cross Plains was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 9-5 to the Eula Pirates. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, with their most recent loss being a 11-7 defeat last Tuesday.
Bryson Barron made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Kade Purvis, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Cross Plains' record is now 3-8. As for Eula, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.
Looking ahead, Cross Plains will be playing in front of their home fans against Gorman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Eula, they will venture away from home to challenge May at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
