There's no place like home for Falls City, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They won by a set and slipped past the Nebraska City Pioneers 2-1. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Pioneers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Falls City had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-18, 25-13.

Liv Buckminster paced Falls City's offense, picking up ten kills. Buckminster got some help from Leah Goff and her 13 assists. Goff was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Falls City's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Nebraska City, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Looking ahead, Falls City will square off against Weeping Water at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Nebraska City, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Auburn on the 18th.
