Carlos Montoya Jr Dazzles in Walden Grove Win

Starting off the list is Walden Grove's Carlos Montoya Jr, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Montoya Jr made 13 total tackles (5.5 for loss) and defended two passes.

Thoreson and Mica Mountain will head out to challenge Sahuaro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Thunderbolts got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Cougars, probably because Thoreson had a solid game then too: he threw for 137 yards and four touchdowns on only 12 passes. Mica Mountain Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to Jimmy Leon

Jimmy Leon was instrumental in extending Mica Mountain's winning streak to seven on Friday. Leon was dynamite, picking up 57 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack, forcing a fumble, and making two total tackles.

He has become a key player for Walden Grove: the team is undefeated when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise.
