Texas Top 25 high school football scores: Kaidon Salter carries No. 13 Cedar Hill past No. 12 Aledo

Tennessee commit accounts for 369 yards and three touchdowns in big win at defending state 5A-2 champion; Highland Park's Brayden Schager accounts for five touchdowns in upset of No. 7 Rockwall.

Tennessee-bound quarterback Kaidon Salter passed for 241 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for 128 yards Friday, leading Cedar Hill to a 27-17 win at defending state 5A-2 champion Aledo.

Salter, a 6-foot-2, 185-pound senior, is ranked the No. 7 dual-threat quarterback in the country. According to the Dallas Morning News, he wasn't particularly accurate, completing 16 of 36 passes, but he fired touchdown passes of 27 yards to Dewayne Blanton, 3 yards to Miquel Massey Jr. and 8 yards to Julian Austin.

Kevin Young put away a close game with a 20-yard touchdown run in the final minutes and ended the Bobcats' 17-game win streak.

Cedar Hill (3-0) came into the game ranked No. 13 in the MaxPreps Texas computer rankings, while Aledo (2-1) was No. 12.

The Bobcats lost their season opener last season, before running the table with 15 straight wins. They opened the season with a 70-7 win over Weatherford before a 34-32 victory over Lone Star. DeMarco Roberts rushed for 102 yards and two touchdowns in defeat.

* Auburn commit Dematrius Davis Jr. rushed for three touchdowns and passed for two for two-time defending state 6A-1 champion North Shore (4-0) in a 49-14 win at Manvel. Davis rushed for touchdowns of 4, 26 and 45 yards and completed TD passes of 3 yards to Charles King and 30 yards to Shadrach Banks, who also rushed for a 53-yard touchdown.

* Unranked Highland Park (Dallas) (3-0) got 316 yards passing and five total touchdowns from Brayden Schager in a 44-16 win over No. 7 Rockwall (3-1), which came in averaging 554 yards and 54 points per game. 

* Illinois-bound Samari Collier threw for 265 yards and four touchdowns and he rushed six times for 148 yards and another score as No. 6 DeSoto (2-0) defeated three-time defending state TAPPS champions Trinity Christian, 62-29. Four-year starting quarterback Shedeur Sanders, the son of Deion Sanders, completed 22 of 37 for 232 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions for Trinity Christian (5-3). The Florida Atlantic commit rushed six times for minus-31 yards, including sacks.
