Volleyball Recap: Augusta Prep Takes a Loss

Augusta Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of The Habersham School Patriots. The Cavaliers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2018.

While Augusta Prep ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-19.

Betsy Kelly was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had five digs and two aces.

Augusta Prep's loss dropped their record down to 13-11. As for The Habersham School, they have been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-8 record this season.

Augusta Prep has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Alleluia Community on the 27th. As for The Habersham School, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Johnson on the 27th.
