Holy Cross is a perfect 10-0 against Wolcott since October of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Crusaders will be playing at home against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Holy Cross came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut soccer rankings (they are ranked 34th, while Seymour are ranked 86th).

Meanwhile, Wolcott fell victim to Naugatuck and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Greyhounds, falling 5-0. Wolcott haven't had much luck with Naugatuck recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Holy Cross' defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 7-1-1 and their overall record down to 7-4-2. As for Wolcott, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7-1.

Holy Cross took their win against Wolcott in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 7-0 score. Will the Crusaders repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
