Baseball Game Preview: Satellite Scorpions vs. Key West Conchs

For the second straight game, Satellite will face off against Key West. The Scorpions will square off against the Conchs at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Satellite's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Key West's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Satellite is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over Key West. Considering the Scorpions have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

For Key West's part, Jon Carlos Lampas-Gormley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered five earned (and three unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up six Ks. Lampas-Gormley has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Key West saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nelson Ong, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Key West's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-10. As for Satellite, their victory bumped their record up to 18-7.
