Basketball Recap: Sanger Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Sanger hadn't done well against Krum recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Sanger Indians managed a 71-66 victory over the Krum Bobcats. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while the Bobcats are ranked 467th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sanger pushed their record up to 13-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points per game. As for Krum, they moved to 7-6 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Sanger will be home for the holidays to greet Aubrey at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Aubrey will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Sanger surely won't give up without a fight. Krum will take on Burkburnett in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Krum's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
