Recap: Trego Golden Eagles vs. Dighton Hornets
The Trego Golden Eagles were the 57-54 winner over the Dighton Hornets when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Trego received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 55-41 to Dighton.
Dighton got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Carson Shimer out in front who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Daniel Cramer, who scored 19 points along with 6 assists and 4 steals.
Trego's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Dighton, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trego will face off against Hodgeman County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dighton, they will head out on the road to face off against Central Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
