Baseball Recap: Ontario Christian Comes Up Short

Ontario Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Orange Vista Coyotes.

Ontario Christian got a good showing from Christopher Choi, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Choi has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Ontario Christian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Abifadel, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Ontario Christian's record is now 3-8. As for Orange Vista, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.

Looking ahead, Ontario Christian is taking a road trip to face off against Linfield Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Orange Vista, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Valley View at 3:15 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Orange Vista 2.7, Valley View 4.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
