Catholic put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Terrebonne Tigers. The four-run effort marked the Bears' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Kenneth Russell tossed a big game, pitching six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. What's more, he also posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jack Ruckert, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He also put up a double, which washis first of the season.

Catholic's win was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs over those games. As for Terrebonne, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Catholic and Terrebonne's offenses will be put to the test in their next games. Catholic will take on Thibodaux at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, a team that's only allowed 3.29 runs per game. Catholic's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Terrebonne's hitters will have their work cut out for them. Similarly, Terrebonne and Jesuit (who has only given up two runs per game) will meet at 6:00 p.m. on February 25th.
