Elijah Holyfield, son of boxing legend Evander Holyfield, committed to Georgia today at a ceremony held at Woodward Academy (College Park, Ga.).

The 5-foot-10, 205-pound senior running back had offers from teams across the country, but chose the Bulldogs over his other 247 Crystal Ball finalist, Auburn.

The younger Holyfield is a bona fide blue-chip recruit, ranking as the No. 5 player at his position according to the 247Sports Composite.

As a junior, he carried the ball 264 times for 1,735 yards and 25 touchdowns, leading Woodward Academy to an 11-3 season.

Holyfield sat out of Woodward Academy's season opener last weekend, but could see action on Friday night against St. Pius X Catholic.
