Softball Recap: Prairie Central Takes a Loss

Tri-Valley hit Prairie Central with a four-run fourth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Hawks took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings. The defeat continues a trend for the Hawks in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost three in a row.

Jules Woodrey was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Sam Slagel was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Prairie Central's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Tri-Valley, their win bumped their record up to 8-2-1.

Coming up, Prairie Central will challenge Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tri-Valley, they will take on Fisher at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
