Recap: Ramapo Raiders vs. Don Bosco Prep Ironmen
On Thursday, the Ramapo Raiders faced the Don Bosco Prep Ironmen in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Ramapo received a tough blow as they fell 59-45 to Don Bosco Prep. While losing is never fun, Ramapo can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 25th, while Don Bosco Prep is ranked first).
Ramapo's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Wyatt Eglinton manner, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Goldman, who scored 11 points.
Ramapo's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Don Bosco Prep, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-3.
Ramapo will take on Fair Lawn at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday. Fair Lawn has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 251 points over their last four matchups. As for Don Bosco Prep, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Joseph Regional at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Joseph Regional is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
