Baseball Recap: West Houston Homeschool Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against HCYA, West Houston HomeSchool was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Cypress Christian Warriors by a score of 9-6. This was payback for the Thunder, who suffered a 4-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

West Houston HomeSchool let Gabe Sanford and Micah Gilson loose on the outfield. Sanford scored two runs and stole one base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Gilson scored a run while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Gilson a new career-high in RBI (three). Dante Mitchell was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

West Houston HomeSchool will take on Emery/Weiner at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. West Houston HomeSchool is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season. As for Cypress Christian, they will welcome Tomball Kings at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
