Baseball Recap: DC International Takes a Loss

DC International came into this matchup off a tough 14-run loss last Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Washington Latin Public Charter School Lions by a score of 6-4 on Tuesday. The Dragons' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Errol Kaiser was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-2. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ari Townend, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

DC International now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Washington Latin Public Charter School, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-2-1.

Looking ahead, DC International will be playing in front of their home fans against Bell at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Washington Latin Public Charter School, they are taking a road trip to square off against Bishop McNamara at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bishop McNamara has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.5 runs per game on average), something Washington Latin Public Charter School will no doubt try to take advantage of.
