Volleyball Recap: Loudonville Has No Trouble Against Clear Fork

Loudonville won the last time they faced Clear Fork and things went their way on Saturday too. The Redbirds put the hurt on the Colts with a sharp 3-0 win.

Loudonville walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-15, 25-19, 25-18.

Sophie Shultz paced Loudonville's offense, picking up 13 kills. Shultz got some help from Ella Vermilya and her 30 assists. Ruth Bitner controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Despite the defeat, Clear Fork saw an underclassman step up: freshman Tenli Shultz had four digs and two aces.

Loudonville's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Clear Fork, they dropped their record down to 3-12 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Loudonville will head out to square off against Danville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clear Fork, they will venture away from home to face off against Marion Harding at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
