Basketball Recap: Theodore Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

It was a proper cat-fight when Theodore faced off against Douglas County on Saturday. The Theodore Bobcats came out on top against the Douglas County Tigers by a score of 63-52. Given the Bobcats' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 81st in Alabama, while the Tigers are ranked 350th in Georgia), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win got Theodore back to even at 8-8. As for Douglas County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Theodore will challenge Murphy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Douglas County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against East Coweta at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
