Soccer Game Preview: Monroe vs. Poly

Monroe is 2-8 against Poly since December of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Vikings will head out on the road to challenge the Parrots at 4:00 p.m. Monroe's last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Friday, Monroe and Arleta finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw. That draw made it three straight for Monroe.

Meanwhile, Poly kept a clean sheet against North Hollywood on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Huskies 1-0. Poly's winning goal came courtesy of Cesar Alcaraz.

Monroe's draw makes their record 5-5-4 this season. As for Poly, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That lines up perfectly with their 10-3-1 record this season.

Monroe beat Poly 2-0 in their previous matchup back in December of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
