Mullen and Cherokee Trail are an even 4-4-2 against one another since October of 2015, but likely not for long. The Mustangs will challenge the Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mullen will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Mullen is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Everything went their way against Eaglecrest on Thursday as they made off with a 9-0 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Mullen's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked fifth, while Eaglecrest are ranked 164th).

Meanwhile, Cherokee Trail lost 4-1 to Cherry Creek on Saturday. Cherokee Trail have struggled against Cherry Creek recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Mullen's win bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Cherokee Trail, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3-2.

Mullen beat Cherokee Trail by a goal in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
