West Carteret had won three straight games and Anna Claire Oakes did her part to make it four on Tuesday. The Patriots were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Jacksonville Cardinals with plenty of help from Oakes, who had 17 digs and two assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

While West Carteret won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-19, 25-21.

West Carteret's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Jacksonville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

West Carteret has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Pamlico County on the 21st. As for Jacksonville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Laney on the 20th.
