If Central was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of South Sumter on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bears fell just short of the Hillsborough Terriers by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The Bears' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Jaylene Sanchez paced Central's offense, picking up seven kills. Sanchez got some help from Lacie Bigger and her ten assists. Bigger was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Hillsborough, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-5.

Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Frostproof on the 12th. As for Hillsborough, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Bartow on the 12th.
