Softball Recap: Melba Mustangs vs. West Jefferson Panthers
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Melba). Everything went their way against the West Jefferson Panthers on Friday as they made off with a 17-2 victory. With that win, the Mustangs brought their scoring average up to 7.4 runs per game.
Kali Adams made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). Those hits were her first of the season. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Melba let Kodi Adams and Analyse Durham run wild.
