Softball Recap: Pocono Mountain East Takes a Loss

After flying high against East Stroudsburg North on Thursday, Pocono Mountain East came back down to earth. The Cardinals fell 7-2 to the Nazareth Area Blue Eagles on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Cardinals in their meetings with the Blue Eagles: they've now lost five in a row.

Pocono Mountain East's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Nazareth Area, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Pocono Mountain East is set to square off against their familiar foe Allentown Central Catholic at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Nazareth Area will face off against rival Easton Area at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Blue Eagles 1.9, the Rovers 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
