Shawnee had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the Bluffton Pirates by a score of 3-1 on Saturday. Shawnee haven't had any issues with Bluffton recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Shawnee hit Bluffton with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Connor Hoops, Landon Meas, and Nolan Schroeder.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shawnee will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Delta at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. As for Bluffton, they are headed away from home for the first time to challenge Botkins at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
