Basketball Recap: Matteo Lam Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat West Shores

The third road matchup was the charm for Palm Valley, as they earned their first road win of the season. They were the clear victor by a 44-19 margin over the West Shores Wildcats on Thursday. The FIREBIRDS have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 25 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Palm Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Matteo Lam, who posted 20 points in addition to six assists and five steals. Lam has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 16 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Alex Ratner, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards.

Palm Valley's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for West Shores, their defeat was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.
