Basketball Game Preview: Fremont Eagles vs. Logansport Berries

Having just played yesterday, the Fremont Eagles will jump right back in to play the Logansport Berries at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Fremont and six for Logansport.

Fremont might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 76-56 to Laporte, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Meanwhile, Logansport came up short against Lowell on Friday and fell 57-49.

Despite the defeat, Logansport saw an underclassman step up: sophomore RJ Clem dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 boards. Clem also set a new season-high mark in blocks with four. Another player making a difference was Carson Dubes, who went 5 of 12 en route to 13 points.

Even though they lost, Logansport smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in nine consecutive matches.

Logansport's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Fremont, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
