Soccer Game Preview: Edison vs. Moorpark

The Edison Chargers will challenge the Moorpark Musketeers at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Edison sitting on five straight wins and Moorpark on three.

Edison is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They never let Eastside onto the board and left with a 1-0 victory. Given the Chargers' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Lions are ranked 240th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Moorpark got the win against Patriot on Thursday by a conclusive 4-1.

Moorpark hit Patriot with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Mattheo Sipaque (2), Sebastian Alvarado, and Brady Conyers.

Edison pushed their record up to 13-4 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 32 goals over those eight matches. As for Moorpark, their victory bumped their record up to 12-1.
