Baseball Recap: Seguin Starts off Right with Win over Macarthur

Seguin gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. They skirted past the MacArthur Brahmas 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Matadors have posted since April 11, 2025.

Samuel Edwards was excellent, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Will Gray Mahaffey was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Looking ahead, Seguin will take on Hendrickson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for MacArthur, they will head out on the road to face off against Central Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
