Basketball Game Preview: Eagle River Wolves vs. Kenai Central Kardinals

The Eagle River Wolves will take on the Kenai Central Kardinals in a tournament on Thursday. Eagle River has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Eagle River came up short against Bartlett on Tuesday, falling 73-52. The Wolves haven't had much luck with the Golden Bears recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Kenai Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-52 heartbreaker at the hands of Homer.

Eagle River's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Kenai Central, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Everything came up roses for Eagle River against Kenai Central in their previous matchup back in January of 2022, as the team secured a 78-35 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Eagle River since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
