Soccer Recap: Green Hope Comes Up Short

Green Hope was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Panther Creek Catamounts. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Green Hope couldn't quite close it out.

Green Hope's loss dropped their record down to 1-8-2. As for Panther Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.

Green Hope (ranked 273rd) will meet Green Level (ranked 32nd) at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Panther Creek will challenge Apex Friendship at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday down 252 places (312 vs. 60). The timing isn't great for Panther Creek: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Apex Friendship has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.
