Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Exeter-Milligan/Friend). They ended the year with a bang, routing the Shelby-Rising City Huskies 62-39 on Friday. The Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Exeter-Milligan/Friend found their leader in sophomore Aniston Meints, who went 10 of 21 on her way to 22 points and eight rebounds. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for Meints. The team also got some help courtesy of Kiley Oldehoeft, who went 5 of 6 on her way to 11 points along with six boards and four steals.

When it comes to explaining why Shelby-Rising City lost, don't look at Taya Pinneo. Despite the final result, she posted 25 points. That was a full 64.1% of Shelby-Rising City's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points.

The victory was the third in a row for Exeter-Milligan/Friend, bringing their record for this year to 6-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.3 points per game. As for Shelby-Rising City, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.
