Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Jefferson). They put the hurt on the West Side Pirates with a sharp 63-42 win on Friday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Despite the loss, West Side still got an impressive performance from Harley Nielsen, who went 6 for 13 on her way to 15 points and three blocks. Those 15 points gave Nielsen a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Bentley Cundick, who posted eight points.

West Jefferson's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-8. As for West Side, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

West Jefferson will head out on the road to challenge North Fremont at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Side, they will square off against Aberdeen at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
