Basketball Recap: Laken Traversie's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Tiospaye Topa over Harding County

Tiospaye Topa's game on Thursday was all tied up 22-22 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They lost 73-53 to the Harding County Ranchers. The Thunderhawks just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Several Thunderhawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Laken Traversie, who posted 17 points. Jacolby Rousseau was another key player, putting up 16 points.

Harding County found their leader in sophomore Casey Lindholm, who went 7-for-11 en route to 15 points and five steals. Thanks to that strong game, Lindholm now owns an excellent 45.7% shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Hayden Pihl, who went 5-for-8 to rack up 10 points and three steals.

Tiospaye Topa's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Harding County, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-8.

Coming up, Tiospaye Topa won't have much time to rest: their next game is against North Central at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Harding County, they will also get right back to it: they'll take on Hettinger/Scranton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Harding County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.1 points per game this season.
