Basketball Game Preview: Cochranton Cardinals vs. Sharpsville Blue Devils

The Cochranton Cardinals will face off against the Sharpsville Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

On Monday, Cochranton came up short against Franklin and fell 58-46. The Cardinals haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Walker Carroll, who posted 14 points and eight boards. Brady Rynd was another key player, going 5-for-10 to rack up 11 points along with six rebounds and three blocks.

Meanwhile, Sharpsville blew past Jamestown, posting a 69-31 victory.

Sharpsville's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Cochranton, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Cochranton was able to grind out a solid victory over Sharpsville in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 62-53. Do the Cardinals have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blue Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
