Football Preview: Maricopa Rams vs. Flowing Wells Caballeros        
        
		
             The Maricopa Rams will welcome the Flowing Wells Caballeros  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Maricopa is coming into the  game on  a  three-game losing streak.
 Last Friday, Maricopa was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap  as they fell  20-14 to Ironwood Ridge.
 Maricopa's  defeat came about despite a quality game from  Jose Cardona Jr, who rushed for 47 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 150 yards  on 13 of 22 attempts. That's the most  rushing yards  Cardona Jr has posted since back in September of 2023.
 Maricopa wouldn't let Ironwood Ridge keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles.  Max Gambino was the leader in that area as all came courtesy of his dominant performance. He is also on a roll when it comes to  total tackles, as he's  now  made five or more in the last four games he's  played.
 Meanwhile,  there's no place like home for Flowing Wells, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  two weeks ago. Their defense stepped up to hand Nogales  a   70-0 shutout  on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Caballeros, who have now won four contests by 28  points or more  so far this season.
 Flowing Wells relied on the efforts of   Jayden Simmons, who rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and   Benicio Ruiz, who rushed for 114 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries. The team also got some help courtesy of  Tyler Friedenberg, who rushed for 41 yards and a touchdown.
 Maricopa now  has a losing record at 4-5. As for Flowing Wells, they moved to 4-5 with that  victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.
