Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mosinee). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Northland Pines Eagles a 34-0 shutout on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won four games by six runs or more so far this season.

Mosinee's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Northland Pines, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mosinee will host Marshfield at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Northland Pines, they will face off against Lakeland at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Thunderbirds' pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
