Basketball Game Preview: Ponte Vedra Sharks vs. Spruce Creek Hawks

The Ponte Vedra Sharks will square off against the Spruce Creek Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Ponte Vedra is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.3 points per game this season.

Ponte Vedra picked up another tournament win last Saturday. They walked away with a 66-59 victory over Fleming Island.

Trace Westercamp continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tyler Kroog, who went 5 of 6 on his way to 13 points.

Meanwhile, Spruce Creek unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell to Treasure Coast 65-59. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Hawks came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 64th, while the Titans are ranked 214th).

Spruce Creek's loss dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Ponte Vedra, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3.
