Soccer Recap: St. Francis vs. Nichols
St. Francis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 4-0 to the Nichols Vikings. The matchup was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for the Red Raiders it sure didn't stay that way.
St. Francis' defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Nichols, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 2-6 record.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Francis will play host again on Saturday to welcome Lancaster, where kickoff is scheduled at 12:00 p.m. Lancaster will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something St. Francis surely won't give up without a fight. As for Nichols, they will take on St. Mary's at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. St. Mary's is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.6 goals per game this season.
