GREEN Upstate hadn't done well against Abbeville recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Owls sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 29-27 win over the Panthers. This was a revenge game for the Owls: when they faced off against the Panthers back in January, they had to take a 28-22 defeat.

Despite the loss, Abbeville still got an impressive performance from Ar'Naisyah Gray, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 12 boards. Gray has been hot for a while, having posted nine or more rebounds the last 11 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Zarria Belton, who posted seven points.

GREEN Upstate's victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Abbeville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.

GREEN Upstate didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-48 win against Calhoun Falls Charter on the 6th. As for Abbeville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 33-30 victory against Dixie on the 6th.
