            Baseball Recap: Washington Union Panthers vs. Selma Bears        
        
		
        
        
            Washington Union barely beat Selma the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers were the clear victors by  a  7-1 margin over the Bears on Friday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their third consecutive  win against them.
 Trey Morris made a splash no matter where he played. He  struck out 13 batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in 11 consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 1-for-3 with one  home run and two  runs.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Cole Roth, who  went 1-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI. He is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last three games he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Dailon Finderup, who  went 2-for-4 with two  RBI and one  run.

Washington Union pushed their record up to 22-5 with the  victory, which was their fourth straight  on the road. The  road  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Selma, their defeat  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 16-9.
 Coming up, Washington Union will challenge Firebaugh at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Selma does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
