Basketball Recap: Leland Gets the Win

With a playoff win on the line, Leland rose to the challenge on Friday. They snuck past the Rancho San Juan Trailblazers with a 70-65 win. The Chargers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Trailblazers, too.

Despite the loss, Rancho San Juan still got an impressive performance from Andrew Hale, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and ten rebounds. The game was Hale's 13th in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kingston Salviejo, who went 5-for-8 on his way to 16 points.

Leland pushed their record up to 14-11 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points over those games. As for Rancho San Juan, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-12.

As of now, neither Leland nor Rancho San Juan have any future games scheduled.
