On Thursday, Lovell faced Powell in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Lovell Bulldogs were the clear victor by a 66-45 margin over the Powell Panthers. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Lovell pushed their record up to 20-3 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Powell, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-8.

Lovell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Powell, they and Cody will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played.
