Hudson had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 goals) and they went ahead and made it eight on Monday. They never let the Grundy Center Spartans get on the board and left with a 9-0 win. The result was nothing new for Hudson, who have now won 16 matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Hudson's victory was their 12th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-4. Those road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those 12 games. As for Grundy Center, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9-2 record this season.
